[00:00:00] Jess: Welcome to the Yap Corner, A podcast for dog parents by dog parents.

[00:00:10] Madison: We're your hosts, Madison Bennett and Jess Ramer. Two dog obsessed humans who know that life is just better with a pup. I'm Madison and I think I just wasted, uh,

[00:00:22] Jess: a whole season of my life watching Love Island. And I'm Jess. And as you can see, we are all matching here in our matching sweat.

[00:00:30] We've got color coordinations and I'm just loving, loving our looks.

[00:00:34] Jess (2): Yeah,

[00:00:35] Jess: so this isn't your typical podcast. We're not here for debates or training manuals, just real life. Talk about the everyday chaos and joy of life with pups. So grab your pup, your beverage of choice, and let's yap about it all. We had a little bit of an outfit.

[00:00:50] Change the dogs. I know Ziggy gets a little annoyed with clothes, so. But we're back. Yeah. And we're gonna do some pup dates. I think you have some to kick us off with. We

[00:01:00] Madison: got our awards from our competitions, or Gemini got our awards, so I'm gonna share those here. Gemini, do you wanna show off your ribbons?

[00:01:08] One of 'em was actually for Apollo, but these are doc diving. Yeah, they're so cute. These are from our dock diving trial competition. Uh, they got our qualifying jumps and then we also got. Oh, and Gemini got her personal best. Yay, Gemini. She now jumps over nine feet. Wow. Yeah, a whole foot longer this round.

[00:01:32] And then we also have here our qualifying scores for the A CT Agility trial. Look at those. I know those are bigger. Yeah, a little bigger green. And they're just so cute. I love them. But what's even more fun is even bigger ribbons. Gemini show 'em. She got second place in both of the a CT trials. I didn't realize these ribbons.

[00:02:01] Oh, okay. She said, no, I'm good on

[00:02:02] Jess: the back. So is this where they like put it in their collar?

[00:02:06] Madison: Yeah. So some people hang in their collar for take pictures or hang it up, or they hang it like on a window sill and Apollo's like, I want one of those. You're gonna get one buddy. That looks so good. I know Gemini.

[00:02:18] Show him. Come here. Way to go, gem. I know. So she got second place twice and uh, I forget. How ma out of how many she ran, she did four rounds. So two out of the four she got second place. Wow. I can see

[00:02:31] Jess: how you accumulate ribbons quickly. I know. In,

[00:02:35] Madison: in the dog sports world, they're starting to stack up. We need to, we need to do something with these.

[00:02:39] So yeah, you need a board. Yeah, a board or roll on. And I still need to take photos with Gemini, with those and, and post them. Oh my gosh. I am now covered in black dog hair. Story of my life. Yeah. And with the light color you can two gems there. It's all good. Mine kind of

[00:02:57] Jess: blends

[00:02:58] Madison: it blends in. Yeah. You've got the gold glitter.

[00:03:02] Jess: The corgi

[00:03:03] Madison: glitter. The corgi glitter. So what have your pup dates been?

[00:03:06] Jess: We've done some traveling. We went out to Michigan and with little Stumps racing, we collaborated with the Michigan Corgi Club and they have a big Corgi race every year. And since we do the Detroit Lines Corgi halftime race, we thought it would be fun to kind of partner with them and the winner gets an automatic invite to the Lions halftime race.

[00:03:29] That's so fun. That's a good idea. So we went out there, it was hot and humid, the Midwest. And it had a lot of fun. There were like a hundred corgis racing and the. Winner was Grizzly and he won back to back. So they were very excited to get invited to the Lions game. Would you say back to back

[00:03:48] Madison: like he won last year and then this year?

[00:03:51] Yep.

[00:03:51] Jess: He was

[00:03:51] Madison: defending his title. Oh wow. So there was some

[00:03:53] Jess: fast corgis. Yeah, so it was a, it was a fun event. This is our last episode of the season, our season one finale, and I think it's just gonna be fun for us too. Talk through some memories, our favorite moments, what we've learned, reflecting what's next, all these kind of fun buckets.

[00:04:13] So kind of wrap it up. Why don't we kick off with some of our favorite moments.

[00:04:19] Madison: I think the beach episode was definitely a highlight. I. I know, at least for me, probably for both of us, it was really cool to like change it up and also to get out to a place that we love, like we love gonna the beach with our dogs.

[00:04:33] And then we got to meet so many cool people and just like chat with them about their dogs and why they love their dogs and ask fun questions and play the games that we play together, but with other people. And I thought it was really funny just to see people's reactions too, to like some people. When we first sat down, like, we're like, what are they doing?

[00:04:52] Like, are they taking, uh, one guy was like, oh, they're doing a photo shoot. We're like, no, no, no, we're, we're not. Like, come to us, kind of thing. And then, and then it kind of evolved from there. But that was really fun.

[00:05:03] Jess: I could totally see us doing a dog, parents in the wild series. Maybe you have the dog beach, a brewery, just all these places that people take their dogs.

[00:05:14] I

[00:05:14] Madison: think also like sub pups. We go to sub pups as a company in San Diego and they do paddleboard kind of excursions or whatever you wanna call it with their dogs. And I even saw somebody brought their cat recently, so that's crazy. But. I thought it'd be really fun to like go out on the paddleboards and like try to do an episode with those people and like, I don't know, it could go really badly, but it could also be really fun or could be really great.

[00:05:42] Yeah.

[00:05:43] Jess: Another highlight for me was our dog sports episode. Being able to reach out to. Dog owners and their accounts and get their stories and their experience of what sport they've been into, why they got into it, what they've learned, their goals or achievements. It was fun to hear those firsthand stories from people and being able to share it on our, on our episode.

[00:06:06] Madison: Yeah. I even learned so much from that episode. I was like, I, for I, you know, I was always getting like rally and fast cat. I even said in the episode like. Rally makes dogs go crazy. I met Fast Cat and like listening back to even our, our episodes, I'm like, oh, like I, I'm still learning from it all. So I thought that was a really fun one to hear people that are like experts and, and share their stories and how they gotten involved in that.

[00:06:33] 'cause now I'm like, oh,

[00:06:34] Jess: maybe I'll do that too. It's also fun reading submissions from the Y It Out forum. Whenever, you know, we always throwing out on our episodes like, submit a story, tell us, you know, some advice or your, your side or your perspective. So hearing those are always fun, which you can find the Yap It Out forum on our Lincoln bio in Instagram at the yap corner pond.

[00:07:00] Yes. So hopefully, hopefully you know

[00:07:03] Madison: that by now.

[00:07:03] Jess: Yeah.

[00:07:04] Jess (2): So hopefully we

[00:07:05] Jess: keep getting those and, and

[00:07:07] Jess (2): can share those stories

[00:07:08] Jess: as well.

[00:07:08] Madison: Even getting prepped for the episodes and researching things to talk about and seeing what other episodes or podcasts that are centered around dogs have talked about or haven't talked about has been really fun to kinda see what's out there and, and listen to other podcasts even.

[00:07:26] Jess: Well, I think there's. Endless topics that we've learned that you can go into. And even some of our episodes, they're vast in the topic we talk about, and they could be narrowed down into all these little mini episodes.

[00:07:39] Madison: Yeah,

[00:07:40] Jess: so I think it was fun season one, just trying to be broad and hit all these different topics, but I think we learned that in those.

[00:07:49] There are a ton that you could pull out and have as their own entire episode.

[00:07:54] Madison: Yeah. And entire podcasts, even like. So,

[00:07:58] Jess: and all the fun facts we learned. Mm-hmm. It's been fun doing the research. 'cause it, it's just us. So everything from production, editing, social, the episode script, writing, research, it's just the two of us.

[00:08:11] And I love, throughout the week, you know, when we're prepping for our episodes, we've got a, a shareable document. We're writing notes. Mm-hmm. Going back and forth, adding to it from both sides. So it's been a fun process to. Kind of figure out what our process is.

[00:08:27] Madison: Yeah. And figure out what technology's out there and, and what we wanna use and don't use.

[00:08:32] And, and even the clips like that has been so fun. But I've, I've learned from that, like what we wanna do going forward. So there's gonna be some changes happening and, but also we've learned so much, like you said. So

[00:08:45] Jess: another favorite part for me is. Even when we're just interacting with strangers or friends or friends of friends and the podcast gets brought up or it organically is brought up in conversation and I, I still feel a little hesitant sometimes when.

[00:09:02] Like a pod. They're like, oh, I have a podcast. And I was like, oh, everyone has a podcast. But I've learned to be more proud and happy because it's, I think what we're doing is awesome. Talking about dogs and dogs in our everyday life and the different parts of, you know, travel dog sports. Just interacting with people who love their dogs and their pets.

[00:09:24] So I've, I've. I've had a lot of fun really leaning into that this season. I agree. I mean

[00:09:30] Madison: at first it was like, ah, weird. But at the end of the day, we have to remember like why we started this. And the reason why we started was because there was no podcast out there like ours. Like really? Like there wasn't one that was just fun.

[00:09:43] Like, like we say in our opening, no training manuals, food debates, like we're not here to teach you how to train your dog or. We've made so many mistakes with our own dogs. So that's really just like us having fun chatting, talking about things we love doing with our dogs,

[00:09:59] Jess: and I love how we've been able to kind of build that together.

[00:10:02] I think, you know, part of our, what we want next is speakers, um, not just speakers, but guests. And interacting with more dog parents, because that's a fun dynamic when you have that interaction with someone else and get to talk to them, ask them questions, learn. But this season I think we challenged ourself.

[00:10:23] Like, let's, let's take our first part of it and just figure it out. Mm-hmm. Let's just lean in and get it done and learn and expose all to everything and, and just be on the journey to figure it out.

[00:10:39] Madison: Yeah. And. I think there's a big reason too, why we didn't have guests. Like that was definitely an opportunity and, and something we thought about, but we're like, we really wanna be us, like, talk about things we love and, and figure this out, like you said together.

[00:10:54] And, and so I think that's something we're really excited for next seasons or future seasons is bringing on guests. Experts in topics and who knows what else, like really. So, but I've also really loved seeing all of our listeners like share their favorite moments or share their podcast on their story.

[00:11:14] Like that has meant like so much. It makes me prouder of the, of the podcast. And I'm like, oh, people love this. Okay, we're not just talking to ourselves.

[00:11:23] Jess: Or even, you know, the, the dog sports episode, we did it with the travel. The dog mom, dog dad day, where we're tagging the accounts, we're putting photos.

[00:11:35] Mm-hmm. And it's fun to see them share. Mm-hmm. And or learn about the podcast or comment or like, it's all like a good feeling. And I think our goal is wanting to have that community, have that space where. We can not only share from the podcast, but hopefully kind of get that interaction from others.

[00:11:56] We're back a little potty break. Not for us, for the dogs.

[00:11:59] Madison: I mean, I could,

[00:12:00] Jess: I probably got used a

[00:12:01] Madison: potty break.

[00:12:02] Jess (2): It's alright.

[00:12:03] Jess: I think for me a final kind of thought, favorite part is just celebrating our milestones together. Obviously we have like our emails and every social all linked together, and when an email pops up and it's like your 10th episode has been published and we take a screenshot and share it with each other.

[00:12:20] Obviously we both know we're looking at the same thing, but sharing it with each other has been really fun. Yeah, all the listeners, followers, views, downloads, just exciting, exciting stuff. You know, celebrating it all and we're, we're not experts in the metric side of it and learning and all the building part.

[00:12:39] But I do remember seeing an article, and again, I don't know if all of this true, but regardless, it said in your first month, if you get a hundred downloads, like that's a great thing to celebrate. And we did get that. Yeah. So that was awesome. Regardless of if that's good or not for us, I think we're very proud of

[00:12:56] Madison: Yeah.

[00:12:56] Where we've come. And like I talked to the lady on the plane yesterday. She's like one follower, one listener a day or whatever, like at a time. And I was like, yeah, you know, I don't need to be hit hitting at YouTube, getting a plaque on the wall yet. No, it's been really fun and also just hanging out with you.

[00:13:15] I mean, we get to see each other every week now. And, and I'm like, okay, get to just, yeah.

[00:13:21] Jess: And learn and share stories

[00:13:25] Madison: and the dogs get to play, which is what it was all about. Yep.

[00:13:29] Jess: And why, why we did it.

[00:13:30] Madison: Yeah. While we're doing it. Exactly. Mm-hmm. We'll continue. Yeah. So

[00:13:34] Jess: what to expect, even though we're kind of taking a break here, I think we're ready for like the rest of the summer to just soak it up.

[00:13:42] Enjoy, have fun. We're both traveling and events. Mm-hmm. So this will, you know, definitely give us that little break.

[00:13:51] Madison: Yeah. And then we're going to try to push out some more content. I know that we've kind of held onto a lot of stuff and so we'll be creating a lot more content, pushing that out, and, you know, just kind of sharing what's been going on behind the scenes.

[00:14:06] Jess: I mean, it's, I think another thing, you know, we've learned, part of what we've learned. Is you just get caught up in your schedules. Busy. Mm-hmm. It's hard. Mm-hmm. Managing all of it. And people that have these robust podcasts, I mean, they have these big teams and with just us, which I wouldn't want it any other way.

[00:14:25] Jess (2): Yeah. But

[00:14:26] Jess: I think easily or like quickly, we realize, whoa. There's a lot that goes into this. Mm-hmm. So I think with the little break time, we can kind of go back even to like episode one and go through them all and fun content pieces, photos, videos, like fun little, you know, trends that we can do. So I think we'll have a lot of fun.

[00:14:48] Kind of going back to all the content we have, there's so much that we've talked about and touched on, so. We'll have some fun creating content, sharing it, being more intentional, engaging with listeners, and just being present on social in our space. Mm-hmm.

[00:15:06] Madison: Yeah, I was gonna say be more interactive because we've kind of held back a little bit from that.

[00:15:12] I mean, we've tried, we've. But like you said, it takes a lot of work and a lot of time and so there's so much that we've been wanting to post. Not that like we don't wanna do it, it is just finding the time. And so now taking this break, we can do that,

[00:15:25] Jess: which I'm obsessed with our feed on the Oh yes, the app corner.

[00:15:29] Yeah, like if I ever want like a little break and I just go to like our Instagram and I'm scrolling and obviously it's all off of like your explore and for your page and seeing. Because obviously we have the corgis, so we're very, you know, stuck in the Corgi world. But the Yap corner social accounts, it's everything.

[00:15:49] All these dogs. Yeah. All these different stories and travel and adventures and dog sports, you name it. And I just feel so like refreshed mm-hmm. Going through like, you know, just scrolling. Yeah, and exploring on, on the Yap corner social medias. So I'm excited to do that more.

[00:16:07] Madison: Yeah, we, uh, constantly are saving things from that feed 'cause we don't see them on our other feeds at all.

[00:16:15] And like an article I saw this week was, restaurant week is now having a dog menu for restaurant week. And I was like, that is so cool. Like, but I had not seen that on my other feed and I don't know why, but. Like you said, we just get sucked into all the other stuff, which is, which is fine too, but I, I do like the refreshing aspect of that.

[00:16:37] Also, we're gonna be hoping to have more dog parents on future episodes. I'm really looking forward to that. Bringing in more people, like we've said, maybe bringing experts or whatever it might be, having guests. But I really, yeah. Can

[00:16:54] Jess: you imagine like having a guest sitting right here? No chatting with them.

[00:16:58] I think that will be so great. Yeah. And not just here too, but like we did with the episode where we're on the beach going out to spaces mm-hmm. And interacting with dog parents and maybe virtual

[00:17:09] Madison: for

[00:17:10] Jess: Yes. Yeah. We never did that this season either.

[00:17:12] Madison: Yeah.

[00:17:13] Jess: But we're set up, like we've got the platform and the technology to do a virtual interview and virtual episode.

[00:17:19] Jess (2): Mm-hmm. So

[00:17:19] Jess: I could totally see us doing that, especially with a guest that isn't in California.

[00:17:23] Jess (2): Or international or, oh, yes. Yeah,

[00:17:26] Madison: that would be cool. I'm gonna have to work on my Duolingo. I mean, I do have a 210 day Spanish streak, so if anybody in Argentina or wants to join,

[00:17:38] Jess: funny enough, I just reopened Duolingo last night.

[00:17:42] Did you? So I'm at one. Okay. I need to do it today so I can get to two. I'm learning Japanese. Yeah. But it was like a hundred days. Since I logged in and I logged in, they're like, is that you? Is this real? And I was like, okay, now I feel shamed by Duolingo. Was he dead? The owl sometimes died. Yeah, he's been dead for a long time.

[00:18:00] I have like the widget on my phone, so I see him every day. Yeah. So finally he's back alive.

[00:18:05] Jess (2): You're

[00:18:05] Jess: gonna

[00:18:05] Jess (2): get stuck

[00:18:06] Madison: in that streak, which is the fun part.

[00:18:07] Jess: Well, I'm such a perfectionist. It's like I miss one day and then I just, I'm all in or not. And so I miss that day and I'm just like, well. I'm done. Yeah.

[00:18:16] So now I'm like, okay, but honestly I'm gonna keep nudging you. We're on the family account together, so I see your profile, I see your streak, I see your milestones. It's like, celebrate Madison. Send her a gift. So I'm like, okay,

[00:18:29] Madison: encouragement. I'm trying to decide when I wanna have my du lingo streak party.

[00:18:34] I'm like, what milestone is that a thing? I've seen people do it, they like have like a cake and like decorations that are Duolingo and I'm like, I was gonna do it at a hundred, and then I didn't and I was like 200. I'm like, okay, maybe I need like a thousand, maybe 500 though thinking about my 500 day streak.

[00:18:52] I think that's legit enough. Yeah.

[00:18:54] Jess: Yeah.

[00:18:55] Madison: That's a long time. That is. Okay, so now. You are gonna be inspired. We're gonna have a streak party. Okay, that sounds streak party not streaking. Duolingo lingo streak. And uh, yeah. So get ready. We'll have to get the dogs dressed up in owl costumes and the bear and, mm-hmm.

[00:19:16] And anyways, anyways, speaking of parties, yes. We, I know we've talked about our, our, uh, what were we calling it before? Dreams. Our

[00:19:25] Jess: goal of party, the summer, like party,

[00:19:29] Madison: summer bash. We got busy, of course, like anything, and we still are going to do that. That's definitely not going away. It's just not happening.

[00:19:39] When we thought

[00:19:40] Jess: maybe like a season two kickoff type

[00:19:43] Madison: of vibe, so fall. Yeah. T-B-D-T-B-D. Yeah, we just have to nail down the place. But we've reached out to places and they kind of, you know, didn't respond or we just didn't follow up. 'cause we were got busy. But I'm still looking forward to that.

[00:19:59] Jess: Yeah. Yeah.

[00:20:00] And I think the vibe, I mean, right in our, what do we call this? The bark yard? No, the bark. Uh, rough notes. The rough notes. Yeah. We took some good notes down of the vibes. What we're thinking. Drinks. Mm-hmm. Names. Yeah. So I think we just keep brainstorming and use our time with the break to. I think the

[00:20:22] Madison: hard part too was because it was summer that we wanted to do it.

[00:20:25] They were like, you can't do a weekend. Like every place was like, oh. I mean, yeah, weekends are tough. Like, you know, because like where we wanna do it and what we wanna do, and I'm like, well, I think everyone like has jobs and stuff. Like, I don't know how we'll do it on a weekday 'cause. We won't be able to be able to travel in and come and enjoy the fun.

[00:20:47] So of course we have to end this season with a game. So we're gonna play the rough decisions, which essentially is a would you rather?

[00:20:56] Jess: Perfect. I've done my homework and look some up for you.

[00:20:59] Madison: All right, same here. Okay. I'm gonna start first. Would you rather have your dog narrate your entire life in barks or have them post your Instagram without approval?

[00:21:11] Oh my gosh.

[00:21:13] Jess: Um, probably post on Instagram. I do what Ziggy posts. I deal enough with like the Corgi barking. Ziggy is a barker. It's a lot.

[00:21:23] Jess (2): Yeah.

[00:21:23] Jess: What would Ziggy post? She'd probably be like, she would be shady and she would expose like everything I do and just put me under the bus, embarrassed me.

[00:21:35] Madison: She would post.

[00:21:35] Totally. Take advantage of that. This girl has like seven dog beds and one of 'em always buried in like some of your clothes from when you're unpacking and packing. Yeah. She'd be like, Ugh. Mom left her clothes all over my bed again.

[00:21:49] Jess: Oh yeah. They would be sassy. Yeah. Yes.

[00:21:51] Madison: Super sassy.

[00:21:52] Jess: I actually saw this on Instagram somewhere, so it's wasn't part of what I researched.

[00:21:58] So you have to pick, and I can't remember one, so I'm just doing it like off of memory. So you have to pick one. Either you have a five minute conversation with your dogs, you can text them throughout the day. Wait, they, they speak

[00:22:11] Madison: English?

[00:22:12] Jess: Yes. Yeah, you have a full on conversation. So you have to pick one, a five minute conversation.

[00:22:18] You could text 'em throughout the day. Or you can know what they're dreaming about. Well text them throughout the day for just a

[00:22:23] Madison: day.

[00:22:24] Jess: Yeah.

[00:22:24] Madison: Oh, hmm. Gosh. I only pick one. Yes. Oh, I don't really like texting. I think I'd have a five minute conversation. I would love to know what they're dreaming about, but it's probably kind of boring, like, well, you know, so a conversation.

[00:22:44] What would you pick?

[00:22:45] Jess: Probably the conversation one. Yeah. I had be sad that it's only five minutes.

[00:22:49] Madison: Yeah. Would you rather get licked awake every morning at 4:00 AM or share your toothbrush with your dog once a week?

[00:22:57] Jess (2): Licked? Uh, like toothbrush? No, but at 4:00 AM like, you don't wake up. Really? No,

[00:23:05] Jess: but I don't wanna share a toothbrush with her, so, and I guess I'll do that one my next one for you.

[00:23:12] Would you rather accidentally step in fresh dog poop barefoot, or have your dog roll in something dead and have to rush him to take a bath?

[00:23:24] Madison: I think stepping dog poop. Yeah, I know

[00:23:28] Jess: Barefoot is nasty. Nasty.

[00:23:30] Madison: But I was just like panic and then go shove my foot in the bath. Ew. I know. Or wipe it a whole dog bath is a lot.

[00:23:37] Yeah, it's a lot of work. And like you didn't tell me what dead thing they rolled in. You could be nasty. Yeah. Could be really nasty. Would you rather give up coffee for yourself? Or never let Ziggy have a pup cup in her life, or any dog.

[00:23:53] Jess: Hmm. Ziggy loves pup cups. Mm-hmm. So I guess I would give up coffee.

[00:23:59] Madison: Hmm.

[00:23:59] Jess: So Ziggy could have pup cups.

[00:24:01] Madison: That's crazy. Especially when your best friend owns a coffee

[00:24:05] Jess: company. Well, you could make pup

[00:24:07] Madison: cups. You're saying her favorite word, she is looking at you. Yeah. Yeah. How do you give that up?

[00:24:13] Jess: Would you rather have your dog sleep on your face every night or bark at every single person you pass on?

[00:24:21] Walks?

[00:24:22] Madison: Probably sleep on my face every night. Yeah. I don't want them barking at every person we want. That would get annoying.

[00:24:29] Jess (2): Yeah, that would be a lot. I also can't breathe though,

[00:24:35] Madison: so I guess I'm choosing to possibly suffocate. Yeah, no, that'd be fine. I used to my, when my cat used to sleep in our room before we got dogs, they would sleep on my like face at night, which was terrible.

[00:24:51] But

[00:24:52] Jess: they don't do that anymore, I guess. 'cause the dogs are in the bed.

[00:24:55] Madison: Yeah. It would just be a nightmare having four animals in a bed. That would be, yeah. I mean, the dogs like Ellie sometimes sleep on the ground, but the cats would always be in the bed and they would be in our head. So it would just be a lot.

[00:25:10] Would you rather only speak in a high pitched dog voice for a week or bark every time you are excited? Oh my God, both are wild. Wait, what was bark every time you're excited, so you just never get excited again. I don't

[00:25:30] Jess: wanna bark like people thinking I'm barking in public, so I guess I would. Yeah.

[00:25:37] Jess (2): Hi, I'm Jess.

[00:25:38] Hi, how are you? For a whole week. I would just stay inside for that whole week. Yeah, I'm not leaving the house.

[00:25:46] Jess: I'm just gonna be talking to myself in a high pitched voice, a high pitched dog voice. Silly. My final, would you rather for you is, would you rather have your dog suddenly develop the ability to talk, but it's only SAS talking you?

[00:26:00] Or have them stay silent, but side eye you with pure judgment every single moment.

[00:26:06] Madison: Talk with sas. It would be funny.

[00:26:08] Jess: It would be so funny.

[00:26:09] Madison: Yeah. And also if they could talk, they probably would talk with sas. Yes, they

[00:26:14] Jess: totally would. I saw a funny thing. Um. A TikTok video of someone talking like, you know, everyone's talking about the gen, this generation of kids.

[00:26:24] She's like, but what about this generation of pets? And then she like talked like they want hand cooked, they want homemade meals, they want like special toys. They want fluffy beds. It was just funny how she was like. This, this day and age, this generation of pets is outta control. I mean,

[00:26:43] Madison: everyone always talks about the millennial dogs.

[00:26:45] I'm like, yeah, I would come back as a millennial dog or

[00:26:48] Jess: yeah, the next generation dog. I know I always say like, I wanna come back as a dog, but like a very specific type of dog.

[00:26:55] Madison: Yeah,

[00:26:55] Jess: like a double income, no kids. Yeah.

[00:26:58] Madison: Dink a couple that

[00:27:00] Jess: travels and. Treats me like the queen of the house, but you have to be small '

[00:27:04] Madison: cause you wanna travel.

[00:27:05] Mm-hmm. So,

[00:27:06] Jess: or I mean, people are flying private jets or, you know, bark air or retrieve air, all these places. And you then you'd

[00:27:15] Madison: need to be with a rich, rich family.

[00:27:18] Jess: Yeah. Yeah. I, that would be, that would be, that would be the life

[00:27:21] Madison: that would

[00:27:22] Jess: as a dog. Well that's a fun game. We've always had a lot of fun doing.

[00:27:27] You know, zoom mode. Zoom mode. Would you rather

[00:27:31] Madison: hot Takes chew on this. Yeah, that was it. Hot takes. Yeah. Those are fun. And I look forward to more games. Absolutely.

[00:27:41] Jess: Well, a big shout out and thank you to everyone who's listened, download, shared with a fellow dog parent followed us on social media, everything.

[00:27:51] I think so much love. So much happiness.

[00:27:55] Madison: Yeah.

[00:27:56] Jess: It's just great to see. It's been amazing what we get to do and have fun with it, and that's just, you know, part of it all. We're here to have fun. It, it's been, you know, we've always talked about doing a podcast and talking about dog parents in the everyday lives, and this year we were like, yeah, let's make it happen.

[00:28:13] And we did it

[00:28:14] Madison: and we're here and we're still doing it. I think also, um, going back to just one of our favorite things that we'll probably continue to do is the pins. Like that was so fun to give out those pins and, and so maybe we'll make some more. And, and, uh, everyone that followed us from the pins or gave it to a friend, it was, it was just a really fun time.

[00:28:36] So, yeah,

[00:28:37] Jess: there's a lot of fun ideas I think we have and

[00:28:40] Madison: mm-hmm.
